Monday Mornings with Madison

INTRODUCING

Your Secret Power

The most important secret to being successful is understanding the power that you have to make it happen. When people see you, what do you think is happening in their minds? They are making instant judgments about you and deciding on the spot if you are someone that they want to have a relationship with, and if not, how to avoid you in the first place.

In other words, you have just become a salesperson. You are selling from the second you open your front door until you come home again and close it. Did you guess what you are selling yet? It’s you!! And your market is all the people in this beautiful world that you didn’t meet yet and even the ones that you met already. Of course, no matter which type of business you are involved in, your goal is the same. Your goal is to make people want what you have to offer.

The Challenge

So that’s the big secret? What’s so hard about that? Well, let’s start with an idea that I think of as a fact. Life is like a present, and just like a real present, the fancier and prettier the gift wrapping is, the more excited a person is to open up the present. Let’s think about why this is. Suppose someone threw a crumpled up paper bag at you and said, “Here’s a present for you.” Chances are you would think that it’s nothing valuable and you would easily ignore it.

But, if someone hands you a beautifully wrapped box with fancy paper and topped with a bow and ribbons, there is no question that you will be much more inclined to open the present as soon as possible. Life is very much like the present. When you appear as a well dressed, intelligent, self- confident, happy individual most people can’t wait to hear what you have to say. On the other hand, if you come across as a person with no self confidence, who gives off the aura of failure, nobody really wants to associate with you if they can help it. They’re sure that whatever you have to say can’t possibly be worth hearing.

Of course we all know it’s what’s inside that counts, but first you have to get someone interested enough to check it out! So now, which type of wrapping are you? Are you the shabby paper bag that gives off the impression of not being worth the bother? Or are you the fancy gift wrap with the brightly colored ribbons and bows that people just can’t wait to open?

Monday Mornings with Madison is full of ideas you can use to become the best wrapped package out there and much more. This little publication is filled with tips that will help you succeed more than you ever thought possible regardless of your walk in life. It’s light, it’s fun, it’s practical and it’s coming to an email near you beginning — you guessed it — next Monday morning.

Just read and enjoy. And, of course, to do the exercises for real. Get excited and get going!
